Toey Leong

Toey LEONG Tong I graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, successively earning a Master of Music and a Bachelor of Music (Honours), both specializing in Harp Performance. During her studies, she was awarded scholarships from the Cultural Affairs Bureau of Macao and the Education and Youth Development Bureau of Macao to pursue her education in Hong Kong. She began her harp training at the Macao Conservatory and subsequently joined the Macao Youth Symphony Orchestra, gaining extensive experience in both orchestral performance and harp playing.

LEONG is also a registered physiotherapist with five years of clinical practice. She integrates her expertise in music education and physical therapy into her harp teaching, using principles of body mechanics to help students optimize their performance and prevent injuries—a topic that served as the core of her Master of Music thesis.

Currently, LEONG is an active harpist in Macao and Hong Kong, frequently performing as a guest harpist with renowned orchestras such as the Macao Orchestra, the Macao Chinese Orchestra, the Hong Kong Bel Canto Singer, and the Hong Kong Music Lover Chinese Orchestra.
