Art Nouveau
During the flourishing period at the start of the last century, artists on both sides of the Atlantic went back to nature. Flowers, tendrils, leaves and lattices contributed to a style which, like our house, turns its face to modernity. Camac Harps is delighted to offer you a harp with a magnificent sound, inspired by the “Belle Époque”.
Art Nouveau Gold
Top-of-the-range harps are at the heart of our house’s creations. The Art Nouveau Gold is the dazzling signature piece of our master artisans. The most noble woods and materials are selected with the highest possible standards, to bring out the elegance of the Art Nouveau’s motifs, emphasise its gracious and delicate lines, and do justice to the intensity and quality of the sound. This instrument boasts an original design by artist sculptor Jean-Bernard Jouteau. Each harp is born from the meeting of different specialist fields, in a long tradition of savoir-faire.
Canopee
Canopée has grown out of years of research – a fruitful collaboration between our master craftsmen and Jocelyne Réal. Réal, a “Meilleur Ouvrier de France”, has made an original masterpiece for us. It takes almost six months to make the harp, involving over five thousand individual parts. Rare woods and mother-of- pearl are at the heart of a unique creation.
Elysee
A Concert Grand harp in the purest French tradition, the Elysée has been made in homage to its ancestors, the great Érard harps, and to the golden age of French luthery. Inspired by Érard’s Empire models, it also evokes them aesthetically, with ornaments in gilded bronze. These bronzes were cast directly from the original Érard Empire 3969, which is now in Camac’s private collection of historical instruments. They were cast by a French master craftsman who works for the national museums.
Oriane 47 Gold
The Oriane Concert Grand harp is entirely dedicated to musical perfection, offering concert artists an incomparably full, powerful sound. A seamless extension of the artist themselves, fully to voice their talent and love of music, the Oriane 47 is a rare pearl for the finest soloists. It is also a veritable work of art, carved and gilded by hand, and made of woods rigorously chosen for their extraordinary acoustic performance.
Trianon 44
The Trianon is a concert harp distinguished by its exceptional hand-carving. This spectacular work is done on best-quality European maple by a “Meilleur Ouvrier de France” – a prestigious appellation meaning “best craftsman of France”. All the woods are scrupulously selected, creating an instrument of breathtaking appearance and fabulous sound.
Trianon 47
The Trianon is a concert harp distinguished by its exceptional hand-carving. This spectacular work is done on best-quality European maple by a “Meilleur Ouvrier de France” – a prestigious appellation meaning “best craftsman of France”. All the woods are scrupulously selected, creating an instrument of breathtaking appearance and fabulous sound.
